How We Run Boo's Central Europe Creator Campaign
Every month, we put 30 creators in front of Czech, Slovak, German, Austrian and Swiss audiences with one job: get people to sign up for Boo.
Boo is a social and dating app built around personality compatibility. That makes it a perfect fit for creator marketing, because the best way to explain “matching by personality” is to let real people show it. Here's a look behind the scenes at how we run the campaign at PS Brandfluence.
The brief: sign-ups, not just views
Boo came to us with a clear goal: grow sign-ups in Central Europe. Reach and likes are nice, but the number that matters is how many people download the app and create a profile.
That shaped everything, from which creators we pick to how we write the call to action.
Our markets:
- Czech Republic and Slovakia — close-knit audiences where local creators carry real trust
- Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH) — larger markets where native German content beats translated ads every time
Why Central Europe? Global apps often treat it as an afterthought and run English-only creative. Speaking to people in their own language, through faces they already follow, is the gap we fill.
The creator mix: 30 a month, three roles
No single type of creator can carry a sign-up campaign alone. So we blend three, each doing a different job.
| Creator type | What they do for Boo | Why it works |
|---|---|---|
| Micro-influencers | Honest, personal posts to engaged niche followings | High trust and comment activity; followers act on their tips |
| Macro-influencers | Big moments that put Boo on the radar fast | Reach and credibility in each country |
| UGC creators | Native-style videos Boo runs as ads | Content built for paid social, tested and scaled |
The micros drive conversation, the macros drive awareness, and the UGC turns the best-performing ideas into ads. Together they cover the whole path from “never heard of it” to “just signed up”.
We also choose creators by what they talk about. Part of the roster covers relationships and psychology: dating advice, attachment styles, communication and personality types. Their audiences already care about why people click, which makes Boo's personality-based matching an easy next step. The rest are single-lifestyle creators who share what dating and life on your own really look like, so Boo shows up as a natural part of their everyday content.
Local, not translated
Czech, Slovak and German audiences can spot a translated ad in seconds. So every brief is written for the market, and every creator speaks to their audience in their own language.
- Czech and Slovak: humour, self-irony and a relaxed tone land best. Many creators cross over between the two countries, which helps us stretch reach.
- Germany, Austria, Switzerland: audiences value clarity and trust. We lean into how Boo works and why personality matching feels different, while letting regional accents and references stay in.
Because our team works in Czech, German and English, we brief, negotiate and give feedback directly with each creator. Nothing gets lost between agency, translator and talent.
How a month runs
Thirty creators a month only works with a tight, repeatable process. Every month follows the same five steps.
- Source: Shortlist micro, macro and UGC creators in CZ, SK and DACH.
- Brief: Local-language brief for each market.
- Create: Creators film; we review drafts before posting.
- Go live: Organic posts, UGC run as ads, tracked links.
- Measure: Sign-ups per creator and country.
Results shape next month's 30 creators.
We source creators across all five countries, brief them in their language, review drafts before anything goes live, and track every post. Then the results decide who we work with next month.
Tracking sign-ups and getting better each month
Each creator gets their own tracked link or code, so we can see which posts actually bring people into the app. That lets us judge creators by sign-ups, not follower counts.
At the end of every month we ask three questions:
- Which creators and formats drove the most sign-ups in each country?
- Which hooks and angles should become paid ads?
- Who do we rebook, and where do we need fresh faces?
The answers feed straight into next month's 30. Strong creators become recurring partners, winning UGC gets scaled with ad spend, and weaker angles get dropped.
What we've learned so far
- Volume plus consistency wins. Thirty creators a month keeps Boo visible in every market, instead of one spike and then silence.
- The mix matters more than any single name. Macros open the door, micros build trust, UGC scales what works.
- Language is a growth lever. Native-language content is the fastest way to stand out in Central Europe.
- Measure what the client cares about. Tracking sign-ups per creator keeps every decision honest.
